Part of the second grade program is to take all students to the Rockwall ISD aquatic center for swimming lesson. They spend about an hour each day for a week swimming. Friday was a play day for the kids. The aquatic center has on staff Olympian gold medalist from the Athens 2004 games, Neil Walker. He spent time on Friday swimming with the kids and showing off his medal. The kids loved it. They got to swim with him, race him, and then go off the diving boards. Michael, as Assistant Principal, likes to make an appearance on Friday to check on everything and is even known to swim a little with the kids. Since Jaxson was there they spent a lot of time swimming together. These pictures show the fun.
Fun!!
