Airport bound for vacation #2
We are excited to be here. So far I love the scenery. Before Michael and I got married our plan was to move to this region after the wedding so I could go to grad school and then we would move back to Texas, start a family and Michael would get his Masters. Well, we decided it was smarter for Michael to get his degree first so our plans changed but I could see ourselves really enjoying living here.
The view from our room
They love the water...
Day 2, Sunday, also had some morning storms we had to work around.
Here are the kids waiting out a storm.
But then it cleared and time for more fun.
This dolphin is the hotel mascot and comes to the pool at 2:00 to pass out Popsicle's.
Megan was excited to meet him.

The boys played while Megan napped.
Day 3, Monday, we took a trip to Savannah. Here is the tall bridge driving in.
We took a trolley ride to learn some history of the squares and the Savannah area.
We took a couple stops off the trolley and one being the Pirate House.
Here is Left Eyed Lucy with the kids.
The kids enjoyed touring the original Pirate House.
Back on the trolley and someone got tired.
We ate lunch and then someone got restless.
My sweet family!
A child's dream...
Day 4, Tuesday, Michael and I played on the Trent Jones golf course. We were paired up with a couple other guys but we were fairly equally matched so after the first few holes I relaxed and had some fun. The course was amazingly beautiful.
Afternoon beach fun!
For dinner, we all went to Shelter Cove for dinner (Mexican Food-Yum), fun and fireworks. Adam's brother and girlfriend made it into town so they joined us. We found Cappy who was giving each child a special paint job if they wanted. Camden chose flames and Megan chose balloons. Jax chose to not have one, I guess he's getting too old for that stuff.
Waiting for fireworks.
They finally started...
Day 5, Wednesday, started in Harbour Town for the pirate cruise. It was a lot of fun. We had Cracker Jack Camden, Jaw Breaker Jax and Mermaid Princess Megan aboard the ship.
Mom and dad decided to participate.
The Pirate ship
Heading out to sea and learning how pirates talk and behave.
Granddad and Grandmother joined in on the fun
The kids looking in the water for Stinky Pete's clues as to where the treasure is located.
Stinky Pete pulled up next to us and the kids got to blast him with water guns.
The Crew. The kids had a great time. Camden loved it and really got into it. Jax was on the edge of being too old but he played along just fine and Megan is always up for whatever.
The afternoon view from our room. Jaxson had swimmers ear so he had to stay in and rest because he was feeling so badly. We found a minute clinic at CVS and got him some meds so he could feel better.
We loved Harbour town so much that after naps, and the minute clinic, we went back down there for dinner, ice cream, and shopping. We ate at Quarterdecks and sat outside and listened to a local musician while we ate. It was perfect for Michael and I.
Our view while we ate dinner
Karen and Mandy stopped by when they got down there and took our picture.
Day 6, Thursday, turned out a little different that I had planned. Michael left early for another round of golf and the kids and I were going to spend the day in the water but because of swimmers ear we went to plan B which was bike riding. We were able to ride on both trails and the sand.
That night the five of us headed out again for dinner at the Smokehouse. It was yummy BBQ and the wait wasn't very long so it was a double score.
We continue the tradition of donuts before bed on vacation.
After donuts Camden had a sleep over in Grandmother's room.
Day 7, Friday, was Karen and Adam's wedding Day. It was a very relaxed day for us and we spent time at the water and playing in the sand. Jaxson found a live starfish and sand dollar that he collected in his bucket.
That evening was the wedding on the beach and it was very nice. The weather held off so the ceremony and pictures could be outside. Karen looked beautiful and very happy. It was a great day for the Stuart Family.
Day 8, Saturday, and time to go home. This is on the drive to the Savannah airport, I think the kids were exhausted.
My sweet girl, who is always looking for a friend, made a cute connection with this little girl at DFW airport while waiting for our baggage. The little girl, who is 6, told us to get with her mom for setting up a play date. So very cute!
