Disney Day 2

Today was blue dress day and we were headed to Epcot.  We were looking forward to this as it has been many, many years since Michael or I had been and we were starting it off with a princess breakfast for Megan and Emily.  We surprised Megan with a new Cinderella dress to wear to breakfast and she was so happy to put it on and get her hair put up like Cinderella.  While waiting at the bus stop a nice crew member was wearing an elaborate toy ring that was the same color blue as Meg's dress so she offered it to her.  Meg accepted it happily and then held her hand out to examine it like a girl does after being proposed to.  I guess we are born with it.  Our special breakfast was in Norway at Epcot.  As we were ushered in to the restaurant we made a stop to be greeted by Belle.  Megan has recently been watching Beauty and the Beast so she was pretty excited to see her.  Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney movie so it's all just so much fun for all ages.  After autographs and pictures we were taken to our table to have a wonderful breakfast.  The hot foods were brought to the table family style and the buffet had yogurt, fruits and pastries. All of it was so good!  While eating we were greeted by Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), Snow White, Cinderella, and Ariel.  Megan loved them all but Cinderella has always been her favorite.  On a side note, I find it fun how interested both boys are to still do character meeting, get their books signed and take pictures.  I thought they would not think it was super cool but they both had all the princesses sign today.  Also during breakfast, they had a princess parade where all the kids could walk with the princess closest to them and parade around the restaurant.  Ariel was our closest and Meg got there where she was able to walk and hold hands with Ariel during the parade.  All of this was such a fun time.

After breakfast we parted from the Estes crew for a little while.  We headed over to the Nemo ride and Aquarium.  After that we had time before meeting back up with the Estes crew so the boys rode the NASA mission space simulator.  Megan was so very sad to not be tall enough to ride but she and I found a little something to do to keep us busy.  Then the dads and big kids went off to the Test Track where they design a car on a computer and then race in cars.  They loved it and felt their cars fared well against others.  Jen and I took the shorties to a very slow boat ride that discussed different types of land and living off the land.  I think Meg and Jake just enjoyed being on a ride.  We then all met back up and Michael and I took our kids to another character meeting with Mickey, Minnie and Goofy.  Again they all seemed to enjoy that and the characters were fun and entertaining.  We visited the Coca-Cola shop where you can taste different flavors of drinks around the world.  We then visited a few countries and headed out.

The rest of the day was spent resting, having pool time and then dinner.  We needed some pool time to relax and feel like we were on vacation.  My family loves the water and has so much fun whenever they are in it.  Our hotel has a water slide that adds to the fun.  All 9 of us enjoyed some fun on it today.  We ended our day a little earlier than we had been but everyone needs some extra rest tonight.  Tomorrow we are off to Animal Kingdom.
