New Year's Eve

Just like that we say goodbye to 2016!  It was a good year for the Stuart household even though many are happy to see it go because of the large amounts of celebrity deaths and I've had two friends loose their dads this year.  We said goodbye in our usual, low key fashion.  We had ribs for dinner and fondue for dessert.  We watched a movie and let the kids see if they could stay up until midnight.  Megan did good and lasted until 9:30.  I went to bed but did ring in the new year when the ball dropped in New York.  Camo got sleepy at 11:30 but Michael made sure he was up at midnight.  Jaxson made it the whole time.

We had a year of surprises with Michael's job from summer school principal to becoming the interim principal at Pullen Elementary.  We always enjoy traveling and this year we visited the Mason's in Colorado, took a trip to Austin with the Stuart's and made two trips to Arkansas.  We started our one and only year of having all three kids on the same campus.  Jaxson recovered from his broken collarbone.  All three kids continue to try different activities: Jaxson did swim, basketball, UIL, Lighthouse Leadership team at school, running club and started band.  Camden did swim, basketball, UIL, running club and discovered his love of tennis.  Megan tried her first ballet, conquered some major swimming milestones and started kindergarten.  We also added for the first time a second dog to our chaos.  Michael and I continue to be so proud of our children and feel so blessed by the Lord.  He reminds us daily of His faithfulness and love for us.  He continues to show us what a personal relationship with the Him looks like.  My prayer for this year is that we all continue to grow in our relationship with Him.  That we choose Him everyday and in everything we do.
