Back in the Fall during the PTA silent auction Camo was one of the winner's for Lunch with Dr. V, our superintendent. The time finally came and six lucky kids loaded a bus and headed over to Central office. I was asked to go as a chaperone because our Principal couldn't stay the whole time. Dr. V was quite the host. He greeted them and gave them a tour of his office and then they all sat down around a huge conference table for a Chick-fil-a lunch. Everyone had a name badge on the table along and each child had a RISD journal and pen. After a nice lunch where he asked, and answered, lots of questions he gave them a tour around the building. The students took their journals with them and it turned into a signing frenzy each time we met a new person. Think character signing at Disney and it's just like that. Everyone seemed to enjoy it though. He then escorted everyone to the bus and waved goodbye until they were out of site. It was a special time for the students and I applaud our sup for his effort and genuine time he gave them all.
